String Lake is unique in that it
can yield excellent pictures of both the main Teton group
and Mt Moran. If you look north from a middle point on the
east shore of the lake a wonderful mirrored image of Mt Moran
can be seen. This is the image you see in the above photo.
If you look south from the same point an excellent
view of the Grand Teton and the cathedral group is visible. Any time
from early summer to mid fall can yield a good image.
