Like most wildlife the coat on wolves looks the best in winter or spring . In the summer
they can look quite mangy even if they remain uneffected by the disease itself. A snowy background also isolates the animal better.
This fellow was a member of the Mystery Pack. This shot was taken along the Madison river in Febraury 2010. It was a cold humid morning and he emerged out of the mist to get a drink and check us out.
